Amanda Leigh Cobb is a Broadway actress, teacher, and producer who has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry including Hugh Jackman, Mike Nichols, Ethan Hawke, and Morgan Freeman. An Earphones Award winner for the best-selling Teen Harlequin novel Let’s Get Lost by Adi Alsaid, she is perhaps better known for her narration of several Jayne Anne Krentz novels including River Road, Trust No One, and All Night Long. Her background and range of accents lends itself to many genres, from steam punk and romance to fantasy and crime fiction. Some of her favorite projects include multi-narrated collaborations such as the heartbreaking novel Never Say Never by Victoria Christopher Murray about race and loss as well as the incredible story revealed in Sisters of Heart and Snow by Margaret Dilloway about Japanese/American identity and family ties.
Some of her recent audiobook narrations include Never Always Sometimes, Adi Alsaid's new romantic coming-of-age story about two teens doing everything they swore they'd never do in high school; the first book in RaeAnne Thayne's Hope's Crossing series, Blackberry Summer; and The Girl with Nine Wigs, a memoir by Sophie van der Strap about how she coped with cancer at just 21 years old.
You may have seen Amanda on such popular TV shows as Scandal, Medium, What Would You Do?, and Law and Order: SVU.
Amanda also has a long list of theatre roles to her credit including Baby in Dirty Dancing, Sibyl in Private Lives, Desdamona in Othello, Peggy Grant (lead) in The Front Page, and Kay Lake (lead) in The Black Dahlia.

RB: How many audiobooks have you narrated?
ALC: About 25
RB: Favorite type of character/accent to narrate?
ALC: I love accents - especially British and Russian narration. And I have also discovered that I enjoy doing the voices of small children. It is a really fun, innocent way to look at the world.
RB: What was your last/favorite non-audiobook gig?
ALC: Understudying The River on Broadway with Hugh Jackman. The play is by Jez Butterworth who also wrote Jerusalem, and they brought it over from England. It was a real treat!
RB: What was the first audiobook you narrated?
ALC: Brass and Bone by Cynthia Gael. I did alternating French and British accents. It was challenging and awesome!
RB: Who is your celebrity crush?
ALC: Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock! I love his, uh, smile. :)
RB: Favorite TV/Stage/Film role?
ALC: I had the honor of playing Baby in the original American Nat'l tour of Dirty Dancing. That was the hardest work I've ever done, but it was also the most rewarding. Nobody puts me in a corner!
RB: What is your favorite book/TV show/movie?
ALC: I'm old fashioned. I love period pieces like Pride and Prejudice. But I appreciate gritty character dramas too - films like Dallas Buyers Club.
