Jim Frangione has recorded over 150 audiobooks. He is the narrator for J.R. Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood series, Spencer Quinn’s Chet and Bernie Mysteries, the Bowser and Birdie stories, and many others. Jim is a New York City–based actor and co-artistic director of the Berkshire Playwrights Lab, a new play development forum in Great Barrington, MA. He’s performed on TV, in many of the plays and films of David Mamet, with New York’s Atlantic Theater Company, on and Off-Broadway, and at many theaters across the country. (Fun fact: Jim’s sister Nancy Frangione played Cecile on Another World).
Some of his recent audiobook narrations include Unexpected, the new sizzling romantic suspense story by New York Times bestselling author Lori Foster, Scents and Sensibility, the latest entry in Spencer Quinn's Chet and Bernie mysteries, and the third book in a fierce and sensual new paranormal romance series, Hunted Warrior by Lindsey Piper.
You may have seen Jim on such popular TV shows as Law & Order, Brotherhood, and The Unit, and on film in Joy, Transamerica, and State and Main. Jim has also appreared in a number of theatre productions. Most recently he has performed Off Broadway in Scrambled Eggs, at the Humana Festival of New American Plays in The Delling Shore, at Berkshire Theatre Festival in American Buffalo, with Atlantic in The Night Heron, and On Broadway in Mamet’s The Old Neighborhood.

Recorded Books: When did you narrate your first audiobook?
Jim Frangione: 1990
RB: Do you have any superstitions?
JF: I never give "gloves" as a present… very bad luck.
RB: Favorite type of character/accent to narrate?
JF: I love doing the old Cape Cod and any New England accents.
RB: What was your last/favorite non-audiobook gig?
JF: I played "Vanya" in Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike in the Berkshires. What fun!

JF: It was a book called Just Killing Time, by Derek Van Armen… about serial killers… very creepy!

JF: It's a tossup: Kate Nelligan or Julie Christie.

JF: Tommy the 1st AD, in David Mamet's film, State and Main
