Listen to the first chapter of book one in the Outlander series:
The Outlander series spans the genres of romance, science fiction, history, and adventure in one grandiose tale. It follows the story of Claire Randall, a married combat nurse from 1945 who is mysteriously swept back in time to 1743, at which point she is immediately thrown into an unknown world where her life is threatened. When she is forced to marry Jamie Fraser, a chivalrous and romantic young Scottish warrior, a passionate affair is ignited that tears Claire’s heart between two vastly different men in two irreconcilable lives.
Season two relocates to Paris as Claire and Jamie attempt to prevent the Jacobite risings by subverting the funds that King Louis XV of France is providing to the pretender Charles Stuart. The premiere is scheduled for 2016.
Stills from the Outlander on-location shoot in Scotland are posted here. Is this how you pictured Claire and Jamie?
