DescriptionDiana Gabaldon’s fans will be delighted to find Jamie and Claire as spirited and endearing as ever in this fourth installment of this magnificent saga. Romance, history, and time travel blend once again as the couple builds a new life together in the wilderness of pre-Revolutionary America. Twice Claire has used an ancient stone circle to travel back to the 18th century. The first time she found love with a Scottish warrior but had to return to the 1940s to save their unborn child. The second time, twenty years later, she reunited with her lost love but had to leave behind the daughter that he would never see. Now Brianna, from her 1960s vantage point, has found a disturbing obituary and will risk everything in an attempt to change history. Davina Porter’s narrative talent adds a special vibrance and resonance to Gabaldon’s complex, colorful characters. If you’ve experienced Outlander, Dragonfly in Amber, or Voyager), you already know the length of the book is deceptive. None of them is nearly long enough.

Don't Miss
(Review of Drums of Autumn)
Admittedly, I am a Diana Gabaldon fan. Her witty style is captivating. I particularly enjoy her character development as well as the repartee among the characters. Historical fiction is a favorite of mine when accurately represented. I spot checked some of the historical events Gabaldon used and found them accurate which is important to me. I recommend all the books in this series. In addition to the plots being wonderfully entertaining, you can painlessly absorb some history and a sense of what life was like in the locations and years the books cover. While the books are long, they truly could be twice as long, even three times, and I would happily listen to every word, more than once no less. The narrator, Davina Porter is outstanding. The combination of Gabaldon’s writing and Porter’s narration is too pleasurable to miss. - Reviewer from Cleveland Heights, Ohio

Listen to them all
(Review of Drums of Autumn)
I am a devoted fan of the Outlander series, but Davina Porter?s reading brought all my favorite characters to life!! I?ve listened to her reading of all four books and have loved every one, just as much as reading them myself. If you already love Ms. Gabaldon?s books, these are a MUST listen! - Reviewer from Massachusetts
They’ve done it again
(Review of Drums of Autumn)
My wife fussed at me saying that this was not in the budget, but I had to have it. Another master piece. I ahev just finished this audiobook and found myself sad that it was over. I cannot wait to receive the Fiery Cross (Book 5). I do not want to drone on, since if you have listened to the first 3 books, you already have found yourself hooked to this fantastic series. I just hope that they keep going...6 is not enough! - Reviewer from Georgia, USA
