Martin Jarvis

Martin Jarvis’ prolific audio career runs parallel to his work for screen, theater and radio. He is described by Graydon Carter in Vanity Fair as "the Olivier of audiobooks" and, for Great Expectations, as "the genius of spoken word."

Jarvis received Broadway’s Theatre World Award for his title-role performance in By Jeeves. His LA Theatre Works productions range from Hamlet and God of Carnage (director) to Racing Demon and The Browning Version (star). Award-winning BBC productions include A View from the Bridge.

Martin and his wife, Rosalind Ayres, headed a sell-out London run of The Importance of Being Earnest. His movies include Titanic, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and Wreck-It Ralph.

His television credits include David Copperfield, Murder, She Wrote, Phil Spector, Stargate Atlantis, and Cosmos. Jarvis has recorded numerous Dick Francis/Felix Francis thrillers. His other audiobooks include The Best Bear in All the World (Earphones Award) and the extraordinary debut novel The Good Liar. Martin is invested by the Queen as OBE (Officer of the British Empire) for his services to drama.
