An innovative approach for beginning readers in grades K-3
A special relationship exists between listening and reading. Unfortunately, children sometimes find it difficult to make the transition from listening to stories to reading printed text. The EarlyReader enables children to make the link between words on the page and their actual meanings. By listening to small sections of a book read at a carefully controlled pace while following along in the printed text, children simultaneously stimulate auditory and visual senses. In young readers' minds, the auditory experience of the words is linked to the symbols for sounds seen on the page, and the gap between the spoken and printed word is effectively bridged.
Using the EarlyReader is easy, flexible, and effective
