Description
It is getting dark when someone knocks on the door. The three sisters are home alone, but the visitor claims to be their Po Po-their grandmother. The children think it strange because their mother has gone to visit Po Po. But the two youngest sisters, Tao and Paotze, are so anxious to see their grandmother that they unlatch the door and let the visitor in. Fortunately, Shang, who is not only the eldest, but the most clever, asks many questions and figures out that the visitor is not really their Po Po, but a crafty old wolf. But will Shang be clever enough to lure the wolf outside and lead her sisters to safety? Children of all ages will delight in comparing this Chinese folk tale to the version of Red Riding Hood they know. Christina Moore's graceful narration will hold young listeners spellbound as they learn valuable lessons about resourcefulness, teamwork, and cultural differences.
