Professional reviews

"Jacques and his talented troupe give a spirited performance in this third installment of the author's Castaways of the Flying Dutchman series. Ben and his dog, Ned, are shipwrecked. Ben is "rescued" by a Barbary slave trader and Ned by a group of itinerant entertainers. The ensuing escapades and plot twists will keep the listener spellbound. Those familiar with Jacques will be pleased with this production. The author's distinctive brogue provides the narrative while he and all the rest of the cast give splendid performances of the large number of characters. Each one is distinct, colorful, and a joy to hear. The numerous songs as well as the accompanying music add to a most entertaining experience. M.T.F. (c) AudioFile 2007, Portland, Maine"
