Professional reviews

"Listeners will enjoy hearing smart Southern and Midwestern accents in this conclusion to the Midnight, Texas, trilogy. Narrator Susan Bennett does a fantastic job voicing each of the unique characters so that the listener can easily tell who is speaking, even in dialogue-heavy scenes. It's hard to imagine what an aging Southern vampire might sound like, or a talking cat, or a gay angel, or an old were-tiger, but Bennett makes her renditions fully believable. The emotionally fraught scenes are handled with aplomb amid the tension, excitement, and heartbreak of saving the world--which the story treats as no big deal.
