In this smart and sexy novel from Blackboard best-selling author Yolanda Joe, Bebe Thomas is looking for love. Her first date with Isaac Sizemore seems like the start of something big, until she catches him on the phone with another woman. But this "woman" is actually Isaac's 13-year-old daughter, Dash, who misses her mother and quickly pegs Bebe as the enemy. As Bebe and Isaac struggle to make their relationship work, Joe frequently changes the perspective, allowing each individual a chance to shine. A full cast of talented Recorded Books narrators captures the unique spirit of every character in this exuberant tale.

Professional reviews

"Bebe Thomas and Isaac Sizemore meet at a graduation ceremony; sparks fly and their romance starts with a jolt, then smolders as they develop a relationship with each other and their families. The story is told from four points of view, each with its own narrator who suits the character and sometimes describes the same scene. Each change in perspective is announced by the person's name; this is somewhat disconcerting to the listener, but the book is written with the same headings. Yolanda Joe's beautifully worded philosophical discussions and descriptions are interspersed with dialogue peppered with rhyme, bebop, and jive that brings smiles to the listener as each character becomes three-dimensional.
