by Debbie Macomber
"Debbie Macomber's third Cedar Cove book centers on Rose and Zach Cox, who have just divorced after 17 years of marriage. Judge Olivia Lockhart decrees an unusual custody arrangement: The children stay in the home, and Rose and Zach move in and out. Of course, being Cedar Cove, there are plenty of other characters woven into the tapestry. Sandra Burr narrates this story of small-town life with heart and empathy. The production is realistic; telephone conversations sound like they're coming through a phone, and Burr uses giggles, sobs, and sighs to make the emotions real. The transitional music, however, does nothing to support the mood of the story. N.E.M. (c) AudioFile 2008, Portland, Maine"
