Judy Moody's in a bad mood. It's the first day of third grade, and all the kids will be wearing bright new T-shirts that say "Disney World"or "Sea World." But all she did was visit Gramma, and none of her T-shirts say anything. Judy's mood suddenly improves when Mr. Todd asks everyone to make a "Me" collage. Collecting things to tell the story of her life leads to fun adventures. A toad gives Judy and her best friend an idea for a new secret club. She gets to show off her band-aid collection. Her parents even let her buy a Venus Flytrap, so she can have the most interesting pet in the whole class. Judy Moody has her trials to contend with--like being the only girl at a birthday party and putting up with her little "bother" Stink. But through it all, her irrepressible wit and resourcefulness shine, and C.J. Critt's sparkling narration portrays the charming young heroine to perfection.
