After six failed relationships in three years, college senior Oakland Fuller goes to a therapist and a psychic for help. She's stunned when both women tell her the same thing-she's got unresolved feelings for her high school boyfriend Seth. Problem: Seth hasn't talked to her since she broke up with him on prom night and so far he hasn't responded to any of her online messages. Desperate to rescue Oakland from a pathetic holiday break of sitting in front of her computer, her best friend Morgan books the two of them on a guided excursion of Thailand. Morgan isn't sure if Seth is the key to everything or not, but either way destiny can wait two weeks. On their first day in Thailand, Oakland and Morgan meet two army guys who are part of their guided tour group. When Morgan hits it off with Southern gentleman Jed, that leaves Oakland and surly city boy Tyson sharing a room. One thing leads to another and Oakland finds herself enjoying the fun and freedom of a harmless holiday fling. But just as Oakland gets cozy with Tyson, she gets a Google alert for Seth-a picture of him.in Thailand. Somehow her high school boyfriend is in Bangkok too. If that's not a sign then what is? When Oakland breaks away from the tour group to look for Seth, Morgan and the boys insist on coming along. What follows is a whirlwind chase through crowded markets and temples and across white sand beaches, with Seth always just a step ahead. But as the group grows closer in proximity to Seth, Oakland is growing closer emotionally to Tyson. Is she really chasing her destiny? Or is she running away from it? Filled with friendship, romance, and exotic settings THE KEY TO EVERYTHING is a romance for anyone who's ever found love when they were least expecting it.

"Bahni Turpin perfectly reflects the youthful voice of Tash in her narration. Tash has always relied on two people, her Uncle Kevin and her neighbor, Cap'n Jackie. When she's sent to camp for a month, she has a lot of fun, even though she initially didn't want to go. But when she returns, Cap'n Jackie is gone. The story follows Tash as she tries to bring her back using the key that the Captain told her has magical properties. The listener hears the story of a girl on the cusp of young adulthood who is trying to deal with growing up and the fears that come with it. Turpin's narration is filled with a bit of magic and heart, and a lot of love. C.G. © AudioFile 2018, Portland, Maine"
